In a murder case reported in Delhi, the Police suspected a owner of the house to have murdered the tenant as he alleged that the tenant misbehaved with his wife. The owner was suspected to have disposed off the body of the tenant in a nearby canal. During investigation, the Police seized recordings of a CCTV camera installed outside a jewellery store enroute the canal which captured movements of a person carrying a huge bag resembling the suspect. The recordings were submitted for examination to Truth Labs where the portions of the images were enhanced using advanced video filtering techniques to reduce the noise and granularity. Various profiles of the face and the gait pattern was captured from the video recordings and was compared with that of the suspected person. The anthropometric ratio of the face and gait pattern were found to be within the permissible ranges enabling the forensic expert to confirm that the man seen in the CCTV recordings was the owner of the house seen in the sample recordings.
